I just went down to Fin Feather Fur they have a ton of ammo, but the prices are increased by almost double- 9mm Blazer 50rd aluminum $14.99. The Fin has a sin up explaining why the increase happened, due to a new supplier, (I think greed is also a factor). In order to help fellow Ohioans I thought we could post places in Ohio to find ammo. Thanks
Compared to $25 to oh, I don't know, $40 bucks for 50 rds., for any caliber, trust me, $14.99 IS NOT HIGH...And if that's double what it normally is, WOW, that was cheap. I mean I know Blazer isn't the best of brands, but still, for a 50 rd. box of even 9mm, that to me is cheap.
Oh and I think helping each other who lives in your same state or area find ammo deals is a good idea. More states/people should be doing it. Problem is, NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE ANY. lol

I know what you mean GM. I called 15 local stores this weekend looking for at least one box of 9mm, and not a single store had any in stock.
Keep checking Wallyworld, and become friends with the folks in sporting goods, they might clue you in to when they usually receive their shipment of ammo, they're still selling Blazer Brass for around $9.00 for 50 rounds (when they get it in anyway).
The Fin had some primers and a fair amount of powder last time I was there, too. That was about 3 days after the powder truck came in. You can call them and check on what they have sometime when they aren't buried in customers. For that matter, since you can order stuff and they will hold it for you when it arrives, you could probably reserve something that they have until you get a chance to get there with a credit card number or something. The guy that runs the reloading department is Nathan.

I know here in Columbus, most Wal-Marts you walk into have the Blazer Brass 50 rd 9mm for $9. So $14 is very high in my mind. I have found lately that Meijer's has been a good shot at picking up what I normally shoot which is the Winchester white box 100 rd 9mm. They normally have them for around $18. I try to check the isle everytime I am there and I normally turn up at least one hidden box on the shelf or in the locked case. I am not a fan of the Blazer ammo, they don't shoot as well as the Winchesters do in my 9mm.
I need to make it up to Fin, Feather, and Fur some time, I have have a bunch of friends that live up in that area and they are always talking highly of the place.
I stopped in the Wally World in Ashtabula on Sunday. They had no 9mm, .45, 38, etc. They did have some rifle caliber stuff and plenty of shotgun shells.

My son turned 21 yesterday and I gave him a Bersa .380 for his birhtday. Now I can't find any ammo for it. All of the Walmarts around here don't have anything besides shotgun shells, They haven't had any 22 bulk packs in weeks. I was in Bass Pro Saturday and their shelves are about empty also.

I check the ammo at our local Wally's whenever I have a reason to be in there. The woman in the ammo department told me they get a shipment about once a week, on no particular day, and it's usually unloaded and stocked at night. She suggested that I call early in the morning, about 7 or sooner to see if there is any.
Yesterday, I was in town about 9, stopped in to check and found 9mm Federal and 9mm Blazer Brass at $8.97. Winchester 9mm 100 rd. bulk pack for $19.97, Winchester .44 mag for $32.97 (!). I'm pretty well stocked on 9mm, but got 6 boxes of Federal for my SIL if he wants it. I guess it would have been better to get the Winchester stuff since that would have been twice as many rounds, but I didn't think about anything except the price at the time.
Oh yeah, the woman also said that when they do get ammo in, it's usually gone by noon.
At least they haven't jumped their prices since before you couldn't just walk in and find it sitting on the shelf anytime.

^ +10 I have never felt ripped off at the Fin. That's not to say their prices are the cheapest around, but they're fair, especially considering how willing they are to help out with all the clubs and the service you get.

I was at Fin Feather Fur in Ashland yesterday and they had lots of primers, powders, and a large assortment of ammo. I bought 200 rounds of CCI minimag to try in my new 39A but that was all. Winchester small pistol primers was $39.99 per 1000.
Was told the truck arrived that morning.

I was talking yesterday to an employee at Fin (can't think of his name), and he said they have a load of Winchester ammo for the 10% off sale starting this Friday.
He said they expect most of it to be gone within the first 2 hours they open Friday morning.
