back up eyes for shtf

for those of you who don't need/wear glass go suck on a lead bullet.....we four eyes are envious. if you are blind as a bat you might wanna consider a spare set of eyes in your bob. the cheapests place i've found is www.zennioptical.com. i've bought several pair from these guys, cheap (a pair of persciption work glasses for $9....seamless bilocals for less than $70, titanium frames for less than the cost of the perscription). the thought of broken or lost glasses would spell doom for me.

Thumbs up

Good reminder for me! I need to get my prescription updated - the 100 yard targets are starting to get fuzzy again......
I need a new pair of glasses, and could keep the old pair as backups. I can see well enough to drive and shoot close-up, no probs there. But for precision work, I need my "Four Eyes"!

Haven't you ever seen that episode of 'The Twilight Zone'?

I still have about 9 months worth of contact lenses, and two pairs of glasses, as well as lenses from a previous set of glasses that met the wrong end of a horse...

I can do fine without, up close if fine that is, it's the distance that gets me, but thats what I have scopes and binocs for.

Get Lasic Eye surgery. My brother was blind without his pop bottle glasses, literally would walk into walls, and after lasic has almost 20/20, he doesn't even need reading glasses anymore.

thrill.......the problem with that is the worse your eyes are the more it costs. i'm a medium ( notice...i'm no longer small) sized business owner and altho i can afford insurance....eye insurance wasn't a option offered thru my plan. last year it would have cost me a tad over $1000 /eye. i can put $2000 to use in way to many other areas in my families lives ( like anouther .40 S&W or too or three)
