So Monday evening it finally quits raining. The daughter decides she needs to sharpen her groundhog sniping skillz. I see a good chance for some Pops/daughter time outdoors. Off we go...
...to the backyard.
Down to the bottom to do a little tactical operative practice.
The kid wailing away with the powerhouse Davey Crickett...
Old dad (Seven himself) turning money into noise with the Rock River LAR-8 .308...
*Note to self: Remember to take the lens cover off for the kid.
Shooting is done. It's time to fire up the old grill for mine and the kid's favorite supper:
~Pork tenderloin. 1 peppered and 1 teriyaki.
~Small whole potatoes. Steamed in beer, sprinkled with seasoned salt.
~Onions. Tons of butter and sugar.
~Bacon wrapped steak for baby momma.
Broccoli florets on the side burner...
While supper is cooking, the kid notices our usual evening visitors have shown up...
My cheap camera sucks on teh zoom, but the next one shows Visitor #2 behind Visitor #1 and Visitor#3 off to the right...
very nice pics. I miss the green. I need to see more green foilage. This desert is killing me.
I'd be happy to just see more desert. All I've been doing is driving through it to work, then home again to take care of the honey-do list; I haven't been able to get out in it and enjoy it.
Wow, it looked like fun for everyone! Nice yard, eats, and friendly critters in the background, everything that makes for a great backyard outing! Thanks for sharing, and come on down to Okietown, anytime! I could use a break, from the grill, and it looks like you know your way around it pretty darn good!
