Only thing is copper and brass prices are half what they were last year and scrap went from 200/ton to 70/ton. I keep collecting copper and brass but I'm waiting to get enouhg to make the run the the scrapyard worth it. |
yea hang on to what you got they are saying that metal prices are gonna go way up in a month or two and when that happens the scrap prices are gonna go up again . right now i'm sitting on 300lbs of #2 copper and 800lbs of aluminum and about 200lbs of slainless steel . as of about a month ago when i went seel some the #2 copper was up to $1.85 lb and the aluminm i really don't know i need to call to find out . i'll ask the guy cause i'm making a scrap iron run next week i got a trailer load about 4500lbs of #torch iron i'm hoping i get atleast $250.00 or over for that haul . i'm lucky i live a half mile from the dump it's at the end of my street and i'm the only guy who scraps it so i get the a/c coils and batteries and everything out of it. when i'm done with the dump there is nuthing but trash . now i wish i could compact the plastic cause they got alot of it in there too but i have no way of getting it packaged down enough to save .
