Gun show

Anyone going to the gun show this weekend looking for that special something? I will be looking for some .32 H&R Magnum ammo that I haven't been able to find.I bought a new toy and haven't been able to play with it.

I want to go to the Springfield show in I think Aug. It's supposed to be a 1,000 tables. I've got to find me a Remington contract Mosin Nagant!

I never thought about hitting that show. a 1,000 tables might just take up an afternoon. you never know what you could run across with that much stuff.I might not always be buying but I'm always looking.

The last Springfield show was supposedly 1000 tables; had both rooms open this time. I saw several boxes of .32 HR Mags but don't have a clue what they were selling for. All in all it was a good show but the ammo prices were fairly high; seemed the rifle prices were a little more reasonable at this show than before.
If there's a show in August, I'll be there. Ya never know what ya might find.
BTW, there's a gun auction in Houston June 20 that will have some really nice firearms out.
Gunnut...what show sre you referring to in your post?

Went to the Houston auction...waste of time.
Many items were misrepresented and most went for over actual value.
The guy who moderated the show contiually seemed to talk down to the attendees in an attempt to get higher bids; it was insulting to the attendees, I thought, like they didn't know what they were looking at.
What's the saying? Caveat Emptor? It fit well at this auction.

You need to buy a press and some dies!!! I load all my .32 mag ammo. It's hard to find and expensive when you do!!! Same with .41 mag ammo.

I have no idea where Brigton is located. I will be attending the show at Springfield this week-end.
Guess I need to get out my map.
Man that's up by St Lou...too far from me. Have a great time and give us an account of the show.

gunnut2u kept pointing out Pearly gripped handguns to me, LOL.
I dont know if I should say, but I did see Tim handling a PINK rifle and mumbling something about a granddaughter LOL.
Scout (Bob), didnt have much luck finding any Mini14 mags under $40.00,
I was distracted by a phone call from a guy who had a car for sale that wound up being a rusted out junker out of Chicago, Looked real nice in pics from Craigslist, trouble is they were about 7 years old!
Maybe next one......

The Springfield show was the same...packed and high prices, well higher than expected. Magazines apparently are becoming a premium or there's gold plating under that blue.
Nothing really new or interesting either. Ammo was pretty high too.
Alas, I returned home empty handed...maybe next time.

I went to the Lebanon Gun show yesterday. Was a good many vendors. Prices were ok. I almost pulled the trigger on an sr22. He had it listed as 470. I thought I ight be able to talk him down a bit, but passed. I am still on the edge of the sr22/mp1522/colt m2 22lr/sig522 arguement.

Anyway. I went.

Yep, I went to the Lebanon show on Sunday. Good number of vendors but not much of interest either. It's getting to be samo-samo with each show. I did notice the price of the CZ .22 Hornet has hit the $715 mark...should have bought it 3-4 months ago for $545...geez
