Just tried searching YouTube for various corrosive cleaning techniques.
The guy with his MN in the workshop used this stuff and claims that it neutralizes the potassium chlorate (chloride) 'salts'.
If used on several patches, is this stuff better than squeezing boiling water from a plastic drinking bottle's air-tight cap into the small straw (flows very slowly) then swabbing with a few fresh wet patches/drying?
I've become a bit paranoid after seeing the huge groups at 50 yards from my MN 44s, mostly the later one. The guns were that way when I bought them.
Have lots of POF and '43 British. Not ready to try reloading and refuse to buy high-priced clean retail ammo.
I clean and patch with Balistol, it was made for this type of cleaning. Does not have to be hot and you can mix one part Balistol and 9 parts water to spray the barrel out.
Just go to a Dollar store and buy you some glass cleaner with Amonia in it. 1 Buck.

I like useing Liquid Wrench lube and the penatrant to wash out my guns before doing a through cleaning.
Been shooting corrosive ammo for years with no trouble - I just use window cleaner soaked patches followed by oiled patches at the range, then clean up the rest of the mess at home. That can take a while, some of the old ammo is pretty filthy stuff!
