Watching the six o'clock news.....a teenager accidentally shot his teenage hunting buddy in the back of the head with a shotgun when they both spotted the same turkey.....the only other detail I have is that neither of them had ever had hunter safety course which is required in TX.....that happened outside of Seguin, TX. Let's see if the gun grabbers go crazy over that one....

You didn't say but can I assume the guy was killed? That's a terrible thing to have happened either way.
It seems to me that if plain old common sense was used in most hunting situations that most accidents could be avoided. I believe that gun safety courses mainly make us more aware of common sense practices which should be practiced.

Turkey hunting is one of the most dangerous of the hnting sports. The hunter safety course is highly recomended for all kids and dosen't hurt adults either. ( I went with my son)
