Glock 10mm carbine

Not the Mech Tech system, but an actual 10mm carbine made by Glock.
The rumors keep going around. Anybody heard anything?

The day Glock makes a 10mm Carbine is the day I buy a Glock.

The full power 10mm is pretty hot,in a 16" barrel it would be kick butt indeed, nice!

Feather 10 MM

I just received and tested a Feather Arms 10 mm carbine that uses Glock magazines. The firdt 15 rounds were a mix of brands. The carbine fired flawlessly.

Kind of a lousy website...hard to figure out what's what.

But it LOOKS GOOD!!

So basically I'd need get a Glock 10mm and send it off to them for a conversion? Their website is hard for me to read.

Yes, their website is confusing.

So, if I go to my local dealer and tell him to order me a "Deluxe" Rav 10mm is this what I'll get?

Or this...

Just the rifle, 1 magazine and a case? If that's so, that's the same as the "Backpacker" model with a different case.

I think the backpacker comes with paratrooper stock and not the solid one like the "Deluxe" version.

Did you have to buy a Glock first, or did it come complete? I need a semi-auto pistol caliber carbine for a competition. Thanks.

Jim, I got the website printed off.
I'm going to take it to my local dealer tomorrow to see what I can find out.
I'll let you know.

Feather 10 mm

It comes complete. You do not have to buy a Glock. Your top picture is the delux model, your second picture is the backpacker model. I bought the backpacker model but I am going to order the AR type stock.

I might have to agree there. Kind of like a High Point. I'll never own one of their pistols but would love one of their carbines. If High Point can make a good carbine maybe Glock can too.

OK. I took the printed Feather USA website to my local dealer I buy most of my guns from early Tuesday morning.
We're in NC, they're in CO so we're a few hours ahead. He said he'd call them later and talk to them and give me a call back. I told him if the "Deluxe" package came with what was pictured for $600 to go ahead and order it.

He called me this afternoon (Friday) and said he was still waiting on a return call from them. He said he spoke with someone on Tuesday morning wanting to get some details and was promised a return call. I told him to forget it. If they won't return a call from a dealer wanting to order one, what kind of customer service are you going to get if you ever have any problems?

FeatherUSA update:

Fair is fair. FeatherUSA did send my dealer an info package which he got today. He let me bring it home to look at. I guess they didn't call him back because he faxed his FFL so they just mailed out the info package.

FWIW, the info package was just a printed version of their website along with a 10 minute DVD.

I tried to get some screen shots from the DVD to post, but they all came out blank.

Anyways, two observations:

After talking with my dealer, we figured at his cost (dealer pricing) plus 10% the "Deluxe" package 10mm was going to run $895 plus tax. $957.65. And that's not counting any extra magazines like shown in the Deluxe package. Just the RAV, "deluxe" case, rigid stock, and barrel shroud.
That's just too much IMO.
I have less than that in my Beretta Storm with 4 mags, the factory hard case, barrel shroud, AND a Nikon Monarch VSD.

Secondly, the reviewer of the RAV said it was not designed by the factory to feed JHP ammo. I believe the reviewer was Dave Rowland. Anyways, that is a negative IMO again.

YMMV

You should see the "info package" they sent my homies.
Little yellow envelope with everything stuffed inside. Taped shut.
My dealers address handwritten on it. Stamps for postage.
Cover letter was a bad photo copy of an original.
The DVD was a copy with a paper sticky label.

I'm not dogging them even though it sounds like it. Seems they have a decent product? Why don't they try just a wee bit harder to promote it? They just come across as "suspect" IMO.

PS SIDE NOTE:
Found out today their products only come with a 1 year warranty and "NO RETURNS."

As interested as I am in one of their 10mm carbines...I gotta go with my better judgment and pass.
