Question Selling too often?

I got a question. How often is too often to list firearms in the local paper for sale. I have a couple shotguns to sell and I have listed some firearms in the local paper before. Should I limit my listings since I don't have a FFL? There was someone locally that got picked up by ATF for illegally selling without a FFL but he was knowingly selling to criminals and trafficking illegal firearms for this state. All the firearms I am selling are legal...mostly some single shot shotguns or .22's....but should I watch out or am I ok with listing them. The last one I sold thru the paper was in February I think.

I personally don't see any problem with selling a gun every few months, however, if possible, try to sell all the guns in one listing.

Here in Tennessee there is a paper that comes out every week and does not cost to list items for sale,It is called the Tennessee Trader and it cost to buy one $1.00 It covers everything from land ,furniture, auto's and parts,Dogs selling Dogs for free,Sporting Goods.Sporting Goods last week was almost nothing but pistols and rifles, some selling as many as 10 some saying too many to list, every week ,If I bought a News paper I would be lucky to see a shotgun or a rifle.Do you have a paper like that there? A thrifty Nickle even lists guns and it is free, might cost to place an add though.I buy one every week because they also have wanted Items that people want. You might have something there like that where you live you can sell from.Or list one and put call for details. As long as you are legal to own I see no problem otherwise.

i frequently will buy guns i like the feel of, many times after firing them i realize i wont be keeping them, i advertise them in the paper, sometimes days later, and sell them.also i may keep a gun for 6 months, then get tired of it.
i had the same concerns as u, and read the atf tutorial, went to metro (las vegas), and consulted a lawyer. the advice was the same, as long as my paper work is in order, i would have no problems.
laws vary by state, so it may be worth looking into, hope this was helpful.

ATF has nothing to do with state law.As long as you are selling legal you will be fine.It wasn't the law that caused problems listing in papers. It was the papers themselves. Some wouldn't list firearms. ,,,sam.

New York has it's own set of Draconic Gun Laws. I'd suggest doing a serious read-over of your local & state statues.
