Thanks for the pm heads up Old Jar. The G&G people ask me to move to Gladstone to keep an eye on Oxford. So here I am. However, he remains a moving target and I have trouble keeping track of him.
Good to see the "Show Me" membership growing. We need a get together one day.
JTuck - You said you are from NE Mo. Where? I was born in Kirksville, and have relatives around Edina/Hurdland area where I have done most of my hunting. (Beeg Deer)

I grew up near Hannibal, and we have a family farm near Bowling Green. You're right about the deer, that was hard for me to get used to when I moved down to SWMO.

Back around 1980, there was a girl from near Hannibal who shot a near record deer (I think 3rd largest on record, at that time in the state) and also had gotten a Turkey that fall that had an around a 12 in beard. She was 16. We figured she probably never had a date in high school. ha.. (them boys be too intimidated) Anyway, If I make it up to the in laws this year and see a big one, I'll try to shoo him your way.

Hey, did anyone make it to the RK Smith gun show in Springfield MO yesterday? I took my wife and we had a good time, a long 6 hours. Saw some friends and made some new "gun-nut friends". We met a young man and his dad, this kid had some of his scrimshaw work, what a great artist he is. The dad is going to combine the son's work on his knives. That's pretty cool. Saw a lot of crazy prices but there were items of interest and at some pretty fair prices, I got a 4" and 6" w/ magna porting both 44 mag barrels sst, Dan Wesson for $60.00. I now need to find the sst shrouds for these.
We went over to Cheddars and had another great meal...fried shrimp plate, baked loaded potato, Broccoli Cheese Casserole---yum yum! What a great day.
