Wow, anyone go to the gun show this weekend? From the crowds, I'd guess not. That was the emptiest I've seen a gun show in a very long time. If you didn't go, you didn't miss much. Am I alone in thinking that show really sucked this time around? Lots of empty tables, no one had anything really special. Ammo prices were ok, not wonderful. Still a few people being idiots with prices (a guy tried really hard to sell me 20 rounds of 38 spl hp for $85, I took a very fast pass on those and laughed hysterically while walking away).
I heard they forgot to turn on the AC yesterday, so that killed it for yesterday! Nice and cool in there today, though.
Anyway, it was kind of sad. I didn't even see the shamwow guy.

I think gun shows aren't getting the crowds they once were because EVERYONE with a table at them is asking too much for what they have. Especially when it comes to ammo. Plus, they're just not willing to haggle at all like they normally would and or do and have, thinking someone will pay what they're asking sooner or later. And they're slowly realizing they're wrong.

See, but this is why I go to all the shows. I have a few dealers who remember me from show to show and they cut me a break. I managed to get three AR magazines from a guy for $5 a piece, and they were good magazines. He was asking $40 for them. But I bought ammo for a few of my guns from him and just asked about the mags... he practically gave them to me. Others will charge one thing, but if they see you from show to show, they drop the price for you. I know one of my customers went close to closing on the last day and the guy knocked a few hundred dollars off an AR for him. You just have to be willing to work at it.
