Reinstalling mag tub on Mossberg 500

A while back I was having problems with the mag tube on my Mossberg 500. The follower was getting hung up by crud and whatnot. I unscrewed it pretty easily, got it all cleaned out. But now I am having a hard time screwing the tube back in all the way. There is a lot of thread sticking out. I'm not sure what to do, and I don't want to damage the receiver or the tube. Suggestions?????
Thanks!

That's a great video, but doesn't show anything about reinstalling the mag tube.

Anyone else????

Make sure the end cap on the mag. spring isn't hanging up the mag. tube as you screw it back into place. Second thing I do as I reattach the mag. tube is push that cap up into the mag. tube as I seat it into the threads. If I don't I usually end up seating the tube on top of that cap, and have a few threads sticking up as you describe.
