I own a Panther LR-308 pictured below.



How much of a trick is it to change the front forearn to this?

I see it is in stock, and I really prefer the feel and flexability of a quad rail.

I asume I would be getting this quad rail (below). (not pictured on the parts page)

I also need to order a diffrent gas block?, can you advise me as to what one.

You'd probably want to 4 rail high version to match up with your receiver rail, it's available at: Online Store — DPMS: AR-15 Rifles, Parts and Accessories.

You would be able to use your current gas block. The reason the one in the picture is different is because of the mid length gas system on the SASS.

As for changing them out, if you've never done it before, we suggest bringing it into a gunsmith as it requires removal of the barrel.

I've updated the site, we do have 60+ in stock. Our "In Stock" and "Out of Stock" statuses change pretty frequently so we do accept orders on everything. Even if it says "Out of Stock" chances are it will be back in within 30 days (except major common rifle components).

You could do it yourself, but I personally wouldn't without someone a little more knowledgeable watching over my shoulder.

Since the LR-308 has a standard length gas system (the SASS has Mid length), the gas block will be forward of the free float tube instead of under it as it is on the SASS. Basically, the railed free float tube is the same length as your current free float tube.

I'm thinking you should turn thing into a Pistol and throw a beta mag on there..
