Midwayusa.com has a 50 cal muzzleloader barrel for the mossberg 500!! Only $120 and uses 209 primers. Anyone have experience with this barrel? Willl it fit the mossberg 88 maverick?

Iv not had any experience with it but it will fit a Maverick

good to hear. im most likely getting one so i dont have to buy a muzzle loader for deer hunting. i can have to hunting guns in one!

i have often wondered how well the muzzle loading barrel conversion works on the 500.give us a range report when you set it up.however,your statement"so i dont have to buy a muzzle loader for deer hunting."doesn't work for me.i'm always looking for an excuse to buy more guns.

oh i am too but i dont enjoy spending the money. this way i get a new gun for $130
