Yes its worth having a No5 - you wont pay to much for one but you might just buy it at next years price.
Dont expect it to be a target rifle - the lightening cuts in the receiver have affected the accuracy of the rifle (it was only designed for use in the jungles at +/- 50 yards) Some are pretty good but most will get you to within about 6" at 100yards.
Great fun to shoot, with a bit of a kick and awesome in the dusk as the jet of flame shoots out of the front end.
There are many so called 'Jungle Carbines' out there which are just cut down / modified No4s - a couple of the dealers in the USA are notorious for these.
Rear sight should be marked up to 800yds (not the normal 1200yds for a No4)
The bolt handle should be 'hollow' but thats no guarantee as a lot of later No4s were made with hollow bolt handles.
Check matching numbers - it doesnt particularly matter about matching number on the magazine - but it would be nice !
If it doesnt say "No5" on the left hand side of the reciever it isnt a No5
Pic shows a No4 at the top and a No5 below - note the 'cut out' behind the charger bridge.
