Aren't we all just going to shoot each other anyway?

You think , you're armed and I am armed and we see each other after a world changing event i don't know you and you don't know me are we going to smile and wave or are we going to pop shots?

Well I hope to get as many of you to smile and wave long enough to keep your fingers off of your triggers, but then under ideal circumstances we will all just keep hidden.

I remember 9/11 I was watching the only channel that did not have a breaking news flash ( the history channel ) and loaded my AR-15 and threw it in the trunk of my car and went out to talk to some people who were blown away by what happened ( so was I ). and at first people don't know what to do. My response was to wander and find out what was going on and I saw everyone glued to whatever TV set they were near , and not paying attenion to their surroundings not saying my response was good but it was such a state of shock that people were frozen in fear.

Now that is a good idea! Maybe it should be big tall hat, like a traffic cone, just to make sure we can all see each other from a distance!

The thing that promted me into thinking this thread was the show best defense on the sportmans channel and how they showed shoot first ask questions later type mentaly. I mean do you risk being the good guy to get your head blown off or do you shoot first?

I just want to put this outthere even in a SHTF situation shoot first ask qeustions later is a bad policy , you could kill a person you could have helped you. I know i am sounding like a flaming liberal but it's probably because i'm a bad shot

and by ready i don't mean pointed at you , even in a time of crisis there is no excuse for sloppy gun handling. ( even though i saw it at the range last week , guy flaging his friend like 20 times )

You guys can take it as a joke but are you going to kill me or absorb me? most gun owners are free thinking , paranoid people that don't work well in groups of 5 or more.

I'll have a sign at about 1,000 yards from the farmhouse.
Warning! Place all weapons on the ground and advance 100 yards. Lay down and wait for inspection. Failure to comply will be perceived as a hostile action and violators will be subject to defensive fire.
