Crosman makes a non lead pellet. They are WC profile. They are not that expensive either. Go to www.airgunsofarizona.com On the left side screen scroll down to pellets. Click on Crosman and then on main screen scroll down to the bottom of the page of Crosman pellets and there they are. I know there other mfg's of non lead pellets but this is the only one that comes to mind.

What exactly makes pba bad in your situation? Iv'e used it for hunting applications and it has been very accurate and lethal. Putting a blanket statement over a product without any kind of explaination may turn people off from it when it may in fact work for them.

thanks for th advice guys. the reason i dont use pba is because in the particular air rifle im using pba is really innacurate, they tumble through the air about %50 of the time and i get really inconsistent groupings on paper.

I'll admit they are not for every gun. My Daisy single pump pistol (200 fps) wont even get them out of the barrel. The RWS on the other hand........................

I got a dumb question.
What is a PBA pellet? What makes it different from other pellets?

I tried searching for the answer, but had no luck.

Thanks for the help.

It stands for performance ballistic alloy and I think it's just a pellet that's hard as hell but I'm not sure. I just know alot of people don't like them. I dont think they are available in .25 so I don't even ask about them! LOL

Thanks confederatemule. I had the same question. If I may, can I take it further regarding lead? Is your off-the-shelf pellet actually the same "don't eat this or you'll get really sick" type of lead we've heard about all of our lives? In another thread I suggested that I'm partial to the semi-auto models as my hands were filthy with pellet residue from loading a single-shot rifle for about an hour. I'll stop there and my apologies 7.62 if I hi-jacked your thread.

Non-lead pellets. Hmm... Due to the fact that the Crosman Silver Eagle Wadcutter pellets are no longer made, as are the CSE Hollow Points (4.8 grains), I think you are kinda out of luck. The 'Eagles' are/were lighter than the PBA's I believe, and would probably be just as inaccurate and loud. Personally, if you are worried about the animals eating lead, I'd buy or make a pellet trap. Kinda related: anyone know if paintballs are poisonous to ducks? Me and my dad were goofing off in the front yard and while we were shooting ducks with slingshots, we noticed they were eating them. I should have gotten a video of my dad shooting me. Very funny.
