Olde Navy update!

Howdy everyone! I've been kind of busy lately, and too tired to wade thru the tirades and arguments at the end of the day. So I hope this will be one of those threads ya'll can just enjoy! The first pics are of the work done on the shop, since Memorial Weekend. The first one is of the high wall that divides the building. It needed to be insulated, and rocked. The next is of the new wall above the office and workroom. The tarps weren't keeping the heat out, and so the new insulated wall! The third is after painting, and starting to reorganize. I'll have to add pics as I go, I can only seem to put up three at a time.

Looks great Seabeescotty. I get excited just thinking about insulating. Not quite.

Real nice! A shop is one of the things I hope to accomplish here on my homestead before the snow flies. We'll see if I can make it happen.

Okay, the next three are of the retail area. All of you who were out here will see the difference. I had to move stuff around, in order to make more room. I also needed to get the ammo into a better place, so it can be seen!

And last but not least, I've had some fun jobs, while all this was going on! I rebuilt a Smith snubbie, after rebluing, did some trigger work on a few other pistols, and restored an 1897 Winbchester pump 12 ga. shottie. I'll try to share a few of those pics! The first is the snubbie, the second is a Smith .22 that needed trigger work, and the third is the old shotgun, just before bluing!

Come on down with Moose and Swede, next Memorial Weekend! Heck, get all the Ak. members together, and rent one of those floating airplanes! LOL! We'd love to have you visit, John, and some day we're coming up there!

Nice pictures. If I lived closer I would have put up your insulation. I used to do that for a living in my younger days...

The only room that was nice and cool was the office. But with the walls up and insulation it's alot cooler in the rest of the shop.He also moved the AC into the retail area.

PSL, why would you want a matte finish when I can make it purty? LOL! Hmmmm, a diving board in the pond, now that's a novel idea! The big old catfish might not like it, though! I caught a three pounder last Sunday, and we had it for dinner, along with a two pound bass! I'll throw some more pics on here, when I get another break. Sarge, you come on down anytime to visit, and we'll make you welcome as the last time! By the way, I got five more varmints out by the pond. This time it was skunks, and i got 'em with three rounds of number four shot! Hope everyone's enjoying the update on the shop!

Well, now we know why we haven't seen you around the forum lately. You've been a busy little beaver.

By the way: What's in the military surplus storage case in one of the pictures? Looks too small to be a Stinger.
