Handy Addition to BOB

How many of you guys use these LED headlamps? I bought one a while back because I was working in an attic with poor lighting, and wow, that thing is handy. About a month ago I used it on a camping trip and it is kindof amazing how often I found myself turning it on. It's one of those things that a person doesn't realize the usefulness of until you try it out.

I couldn't find a pic of the one I've got, but it is easily adjustable to shine the light where you want it, and it has both a white (super bright) and a red light setting. It was just a cheapo Husky model from Home Depot that cost about ten bucks. For the price, I think I'm gonna get a couple more of them and put one in my BOB and one in my junk drawer.

One of my hunting buddy's use's one similer to the one pictured made by Browning and he has another made by Browning that clips to his hat.

My flashlight quit on me one morning back during Turkey season and the type light mentioned here got us to where we were going to listen for gobblers.
It works good...A.H

The only thing I hate about those head flashlights is when you are in a dark room or building and they look at you and blind you. So it has its advantages and disadvantages depending on your sitiuation.

I got 3 of them, they are always a great addition, and my most recent one is really lightweight. I generally wear one when camping, but only turn it on occasionally, I have a 3 AA LED Maglite that I primarily use, as well as another reserve mini-light. I keep the same philosophy with knives, always have two backups!

I have several of them as well, came in handy when I was working as a locator for Utility Resource company ( I was one of the guys who paints up yards and plants colorful flags) since I had to access a lot of man holes. They'v ecome in handy for home and auto repairs also, nice to have light AND both hands free.

Great for working under the sink and in attics and good for camp sites. Just got an LED conversion for my mini-mag lite and wow. It will blind them.
