Just bought a new P22

Just bought a new P22. I really like it. It feels good in my hand and handles more like a 9mm than a 22lr. Shoots good. I only have put about 100 rounds through it. One FTF but it was an ammo problem. Also no FTE. Happy so far.

Congrats. I baught one for my wife a few years back and we have had a lot of fun with it. They can be picky with the ammo you use, but once you find the one it likes, it is a great gun.

I am useing Winchester Super X 22 long rifle Super Speed HP 37 grain High Velocity 1330 FPS. Wally World has it for 5.97 a 100. I want to try some CCI Stingers. They are supposed to be good. You have to stay with the higher power ammo and it should work for you.

Just ordered one for my wife this weekend. Was at the advice of a certain CCW instructor (who happens to be an old jar head). Ordered the 5" barrel so we wouldn't have feed problems.

Great CCW course, by the way. We both learned a lot. Anybody in SW MO ought to consider him for the course.

Congrats on the new P22, the wife and I picked one up two months ago, it's a lot of fun. We have both used CCI Mini Mags and Winchester Wildcat 22's. Never have a FTF or FTE. Enjoy!

I have three and the only one that has issues is the oldest one (first bought).
They really are fine guns and the feel and fit is great.
Stick to the high velocity ammo...1200 fps or better.
Centurian less expensive than the others) works well, as does AE, Win SuperX, Win Wildcat, Rem Thunderbolt. Federal bulk is ok.
BTW, congrats on your buy.

I want to check out the PK380 if Walther ever get it to market; designed like the P22.

congrats on the p22... got one for the wife about 6month or more ago its an awesome littlesemi... hers does not like federals or any low velocity .22lrs but loves cci velocitors and mini mags... the federals are good to teach her how to deal with ftf and stove piping...

on another note how much was the holster i want on for the wifes... thanks.

HI RWT101....i bought my p22 in Dec 2008. Never been a malfunction with the CCI Mini-mags 40 grains or Winchester Super X 40 grains........I LOVE the P22 and chose the laser sight option when buying....for self defensive carry i use the CCI Stinger HP 30 grain 1640 fps. I went out one day and bought a 4 inch thick piece of wood along...i pelt it with winchester 40 grain FMJ which got around 1.5 inch of penetration. Then i hit it with CCI Stinger which easily got around 2 to 2.5 Inches of penetration....

I guess winchester Super X is great for plinking since it is cheaper.....this is the second gun i owned and i simply LOVE it!!!! easily concealable.....and very accurate and the grip and feel allow me accuracy even in the first DA mode.....

I have been using the Winchester Super X and it has been working great. I wanted to get some stingers, but can't find any in my area.
