I picked my first rip tomatoe about a week ago. Now I am picking about 1 a night from each of my 6 plants, and there are still a ton of green ones left to go. We finally got some hot weather and they are turning quick.

Cross Hair...Come on and visit Forty and me in Gladstone...I'll fix you a big ol' BLT sammic...or pay for your meal at Micky D's and show you my gun tools.
Right now I'm in Newton, KS supporting my brother who's just had back surgery...and doing just fine. He let me borrow his computer and it's set on high speed.(ha)
Heading home this afternoon to put more water on those tomato plants...and plan another fishing trip next week.
Life is tough. (ha)

WOW! We've got more tomatoes than we can eat. Here's what I picked just yesterday afternoon when we returned from being out of town. There's at least three times these pictured below that are still on the vines to be picked within the next week or two.
I'd sure be glad to share these tomatoes with you if you lived closer. Forty lives within two miles...so he's welcome to come get a big sackfull, too.

Seems that they could be quaretered or something and frozen to be used later in chili, and for other cooking needs...but my wife says "I don't have time...or space."

you guys are lucky, i love fresh tomatoes but seldom get them. i have about 50 green on the plants here, it froze last night, fortunatly i covered them up. one more night in the 30's then we are back up to the 40's at night for a while so they say. I am hoping to get a BLT of my own before it snows.
