tracer, sorry to hear of poor luck in the gun show area, it's sort of that way here too, the place where I was yesterday was actually a public auction, where a family was selling their land, home and items in the home, TV, cook ware, lawn mowers, traps, dishes, donkeys [live stock], guns and ammo, etc... where you watch an item come up for bid and you bid at the point of price that you think it's worth...it can be exciting and a disappointment if you win on something that was not worth bidding on. I have gotten where I have like to have kick my behind for letting go of things well worth the price. A year ago I got three case flats of ammo for $8.00 each = 60 or more pounds of ammo and stuff. From .22 to 45-70, slug to .41 rim fire ammo, from 30 carbine to 30-06, I had so much fun going through the stuff, sorting and finding the going price on gun broker, my 24 bucks was in the 280 dollar area. stuff I don't any use for and items I can use.
Back to gun shows, it's about 8 to 10 buck here also, I got a Kershaw scrimshaw 1980's knife by going slowly and looking more closely at the stuff for sell. There's alot of good deals out there if you look, but like you pointed out, a lot of disappointment for what you have to pay to get in, the auction is free to get in, there's been times where I didn't win any bids, but I still get the pleasure of seeing people, and things that I most likely will not get to see again...I hope this explains a bit toward what I have had the pleasure of doing for the past 1-1/2 years. There's alot of guns I seen that are more or less items that you will see once in a life time. [as well as art, property, etc..] I hope this explains it a little bit better

[where you live, there's a lot of Indian stuff that would go like crazy here in price, so get out there and have some fun and make some $$$$
