Thumbs up Thoughts on Jesus...

Thoughts On Jesus

He was in the beginning,
With God, was God.
Fulfilling prophesy
Was born of a virgin.
They called His name Immanuel.
Born to you on Christmas,
A Savior, Christ our Lord.
Crucified with criminals, He plead,
Father forgive them,
For they don't know.
Sealed in a tomb,
But now alive.
King of kings.
Lord of lords.
Jesus Christ, the same
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Jesus is pictured as a white eupopean, by the artist that drew him. there is no record to say what he looked like. and all we can do is conjecture what he may have looked like.

Yeah! Those are sobering (no pun intended) words Joe. It's time to remember the important things in life.

Well, popular mechanics had a VERY good article on what he looked like. They had reconstructions of the faces of jews who were buried in Nazareth at that time, plus drawings and descriptions of fashions at the time. Since Jesus (Yeshua) was described several times as an ordinary looking man, they reconstructed a typical man of that time and place. For one thing, he probably had fairly short, somewhat curly, black hair and a short beard. Plus the obvious middle eastern characteristics. I found it very interesting. They also traced how the popular conception of his image changed over time, and why.

I'll go with the middel eastern appearence...was Jewish so HE would not have celabrated christmass....When I toured Isreal I was surprised as to how small the area was....I always visioned his traveles as being cross country like the USA in size...calf to main to florida...like distances....He actualy traveled in a small arear not much larger than a modern size big city...rember walking back then so a weeks travel was only 50 or so miles.
I tend towards polytheistic religions so I place him as a Godamoungst Gods.

DISCOVERY CHANNEL HAD A SHOW ON....

about what Klaus was saying, very interesting.

Most Christians forget Jesus was trying to reform the Hebrews and their Temples, Christiandom came after His resurrection. evolving from His teachings.

If christ was the king of kings and god had forgiven them as christ had asked, the world would not be as it is today. think about it.

logansdad,
TLC, History Channel, Ariel Sharon, etc. - not one of them said jesus was the son of god or that he came back to life. why did they not claim that? because there is no proof. not one shred.
By the way, TLC and History channel support programs that teach people about the big bang. The big bang goes against the bible.

The Jewish people for the most part believe in Yeshua but not in the sense that christians do. We believe that Jesus was 100% man and 100% God. He was born out of the lineage of King David.
Don't beleive every thing you see on T.V.
The prophecy of Yeshua is a scarlet thread that runs through the Old Testament.
The crucifixion of Christ was a way out of sin for the Gentiles. The Jews have been pursued by God for a very long time and hence they were blinded to the fact of who Jesus really was.
In the end every knee shall bow to the King of Kings.
As far as proof my faith in the New Testament is enough.
God Bless you all.
