Ok guy i want to know how many bow hunters are on g&g so let me know what kind of bow you have, what you hunt with it, and what is the farthest range you are comfortable shooting at? Thanks
I have a Bowtech 82nd airborne with an octane stabilizer and quiver, apex illuminated 4 pin sight, whisker bisquit, and i have a scott mongoose release and i shoot pse radial x-weave arrows with montec g5 broadheads. I only hunt whitetail in ohio and now and then in texas and i shoot out to 40 yards (with confidense) with softball sized groups. (I would like to increase my range in the future)

PSE Nova S8- 70#- XX75 arrows-100 grain cabelas lazer strike broasheads- limbsaver scoil-scoil adapter-limbsaver module-hindsight MX-G5 XR out to 70 yards is my comfort zone
Bowtech Allegiance with a limbsaver stabilizer and quiver tru-glo 7 pin sight, with a NAP drop away rest, it shoots terminator lite selects 4560 with quickspin fletchings and a muzzy 90gr 4 blade broadhead. If I am in the woods 40 yards with 4 inch groups are the norm but if I watch the edge of a field then I can reach 70 yards with 6 to 7 inch groups. But if I can't get them in to 40 yards I probably will let the critter pass... just out of sport... I hunt Whitetails, Black Bear, Cyoties, and Turkey.
Hoyt alpha shock Bone Collector edition 70#, Eotech holographic sight, Doinker stabilizer, Whisker buiscuit rest, 400 series infused Easton Axis shafts with 2" vanes, Tracer knocks and 100 gr G5 Tekan expandable broadheads, Scott release. Hunt White Tail deer and Turkey with it.

Reflex Bighorn with some gamegetter aluminum shafts with vane things and some old school 3 blade broadheads actuated by an old Cobra release with the velcro 1/2 worn off. Can hit a pie plate about as far as I can throw a rock. I think I get into guns more, but like my bow ok.
Bear lights out 70 lb draw, comphy at 50yds best groups at 30, cant think of exactly what arrows im shooting right now and too lazy to go check, i do have the 1" shrink wrap fletchings on though

I shoot a Mathews LX set at 60lbs. Truball release. Tru-glo sights. Whisker biscuit arrow rest. Limbsaver stabilizer. Beman arrows and 100gr. Rocky Mtn. broadheads. Real comfortable out to 30yds.
A Martin Sabre, Whisker Biscuit Rest, Toxonics Sight, Tru Ball Release/Tru Nok Loop, and Easton ST Epic Carbon Arrows/Wasp Broadheads. I usually practice at 25 yards as I tend to hunt in areas where that will be the longest shot due to thick bush. I can shoot well out to 35 yards but would try to limit my shots to the 20-25 yard range at that range I am very accurate. Been shooting a Bow for 9 years now almost, all my hunting is for deer, but got drawn for elk last year and have went for turkey.
Cool guys, I'm hearin a lot of nice set ups and those of you goin out to 70 yards hats off to you, thats awesome! One of these days i will try to get to that range and I'm only 17 so i got time. Considering that 3 days ago was the first time at 40 yards and i was having softball size groups i think i can get it to 60 or 70 some day lol. I do know i have to keep up my practice like i have been (about 40 shots a day) so I'm ready for that big buck to walk his trail.

ghogslugger 70 yds ???? you know that is way to far for a shot !!! you will lose more deer on a long shot even if you are hunting in fields... what you need to do has more to do with the skill of getting within 20 yds of the game you hunt...i like to sit in a stand and wait till i can see the hair around the eys and make a good shot and not a hail mary...

I just mean 70 yards for 3D target tournaments i wouldn't consider shooting a live deer at that range because i wouldn't want to wound deer, sorry i left that out the first time. And i know what you mean about close range last year on the first time out in a new stand i had 2 does that were sniffing my tree lol talk about a rush, i would peek down and one of them were lookin up at me. I like to get em in real close to but if the buck of a life time hangs up at 40-45 yards i'm confident that he will go down if i focuse and take the shot.

I bought a used Hoyt and retired my used Golden Eagle. I can always find a good used bow after everyone buys their new bows and the deer never know they're getting shot from a used bow. I do buy new arrows though.
Parker Extreme Hunter Mag, 70 lbs, Trophy Taker rest, Team Extreme 5 pin sight, Carbon Express Maxima arrows w/ 100 gr Muzzy 4 blades. I can shoot 4 inch groups out to 65 yards, but like to keep it under 40 yards, past that the flight time is just too long for me to shoot at game.
