I heard a person at one of the town hall meetings, one of Arlen Specters I think it was, that aired on Fox yesterday mentioned this.

From what I'm understanding, that/this concerned American was spot on in and with his questions and concerns.

As for some of the stuff in the healthcare reform bill possibly paying for abortins, I also heard the problem is that it doesn't say anything about this at all and that in and of itself leaves the door open that it could and will. And that there isn't anything in the actual healthcare reform bill but in like 9 Amendments.

Of those 9 Amendments, none were adopted. Well one was adopted but later rejected. Another words, rather then adopt an Amendment making sure that the bill won't, they're leaving the door open. They being the Democrats that is.

Here's a shortened version I got in email. I don't know how many trusted friends it went through before me, but supposedly this is a pretty good synopsis. It is in the form of a letter to be sent to your congressman, so there is a chance it might be slanted. You decide. It's 54 kb, but worth reading especially with the full text available a couple of posts up so you can check and cross check each claim here.

Page 503: Privacy: The “Center” will collect data both “published and unpublished” Gov’t will build registries
and data networks from your electronic medical records. [That applies to your private and public information]

Page 518: The Commission will have input from HC Consumer representatives. [Who are they?]

Page 621: Quality: The Gov’t will define “new quality” measures in HC. When did the Gov’t know about quality?
Page 622: Taxes: To pay for the Quality Standards, Gov’t will transfer money from “qualified entities”: [Gov’t Trust
Funds] to other Gov’t Trust Funds. [Gov’t can rob one fund and put into another fund w/o supervision.].
Page 624 Qualified Entities: “The Secretary”shall ensure that the entity is a public, nonprofit or academic institution
with technical expertise in the area of health quality measure. [Gov’t measures quality, like the subsidies

Page 623 “Quality” Gov’t measures shall be designed to assess outcomes and functional status of patients.

Page 700 Federal Aid Recipients: : If your part of HC plan isn’t in the gov’ts HC Exchange, but you qualify for
federal aid, you don’t have to pay.
Page 704 Background Checks: If the Secretary determines there is a “significant risk of fraudulent activity,”
on HC provider or supplier, the government can do a background check.
·Page 710 Doctors”: The Secretary has broad powers to deny HC providers and suppliers admittance into HC Exchange.
[Doctors will leave their practices in droves. Doctors will be forced out of business.]

Page 50? It's inhumane to turn people away in true medical need regardless of citizenship....... BUT, it's horrendous that women from Mexico, much less other countries, would risk their lives to abuse our system of citizenship with "anchor babies". THAT should be changed.

Problem is there are 4 senate "proposals" (not bills yet) that they are keeping under lock and key and won't let anyone read.

I would agree if you said "vital, urgent life saving medical needs".

I am 100% against using my tax money to pay for any foreigner to get medical care unless it is to save life or limb and then send he/she home and with a bill I might add. I don't want to pay a cent for someone who comes here to abuse our goodwill to get a medical procedure for free. Screw that, if ANYONE deserves free medical care it is our veterans.
