Just a few weeks ago our very own Senator George Voinavitch crossed party lines and sided with the democrats to vote AGAINST a bill that would have granted interstate reciprocity for CCW holders. What does this mean to you? Well, if you voted for him like I did, it means that you were screwed. I'm not here to tell anyone what to do...but when I look at the political climate today I see a bunch of people that want to strip me of my rights. I don't have to go into my shpeel on the 2nd Amendment here....and I know that anyone reading this right now shares the belief that it is not only the right of every citizen but also our social responsibility to keep and bear arms, and to carry them concealed in a responsible mannor to protect ourselves, our neighbors, and even strangers if the situation demands it. I've already wrote my letters, and I urge EVERY STINKIN ONE of you ohioans to take 10 minutes and tell Senator Voinavitch what you think of his poor choice. I don't think there is a lot we can do about how he is voting on issues. He says he is going to retire when his term is up in 2011. I guess he thinks he can do as he pleases until then. All we can do is hope we can vote in someone who is a little more friendly towards gun issues.

I did send him a letter and got a form letter back saying that he voted the way he did because he thought it was in the best interests of the greatest number of Ohioans to do so. And yeah, he is planning to retire.

What we need to be doing instead of spitting into the wind is finding a good viable progun candidate to take that seat and all unite behind that person. Otherwise the party machine will put up another clone (or is that clown??) to vote the party line.

They're all a bunch of clowns. I haven't found a politician worth talking to, let alone voting fore, since I moved to Ohio 15 years ago.
