I get that same urge after a few beers. I wonder if it's a conspiracy!

TexasT, I don't know who your question was directed to, but I inject about 2 inches all around the Umbilica mostly.

Not yet, but the day is coming if my family history has anything to do with it.

Not looking forward to it...

I poke myself with the insulin needle several times a day as a Type 1 diabetic. I've never noticed this side effect...

Insulin has two bad problems - hypoglycemia & weight gain. Actually the second one can be good if you are hitting the gym at the same time. Insulin from the needle is pretty durn efficient. It has become the new rage with strength athletes and wannabe Ahnolds (along with a 'roids etc.)

So no, I do not see how stabbing yourself in the belly can make you want to pee - however, it will become a learned behavior if you let it. Lower blood sugar should make you pee less, not more.

I shoot twice a day about 15 in the Am and 10 in the PM along with 500mg of met.
Dropped 17 lbs in the last 10 days and I also take lasix 40 mg in the am.
I watch my potasium cause frequent urination can deplete that as well.
My A1C ranges from 5.2 to 6.2 and my trig stays around 180.

There are many side effects from insulin use and the best way to determine if it is normal for you is to ask your Dr.
Its always important to watch how much carbs you injest also im limited to 350 and cutting down on sugar especially High Fructose Corn Syrip is a great benefit.
I always thought if I stacked the protiens it would bring the sugar down and allow me to function better. But the best advice I can give is to cut down on the portion size,
limit carb and protien intake, and increase the meal to 4 or 5 times a day.
Smaller portions though.
The dietition from the VA helps me to keep on the right track.
Also try to inject at the same time each day.
