Charlotte gun show Aug. 14

At the Metrolina Center.
I'll be there early if anybody plans on going.

I'm 6'5", buzz cut, cheesy long rider mustache.
I'll be wearing a navy Cavalry Arms tee. Like this...

Gun Show Report: Good news !!

Attendance seemed back to normal. Maybe even less than normal. I got there about 10 minutes after the gates opened, and it took less than five minutes to get through the line. woot.

There was plenty of ammo although prices were still high.

No shortage of EBR's. Except for .308's. Grrr. Saw a RRA LAR-8 for $1400, an Armalite AR-10 for $1500 and a R-25 for $2000+. They're still there if you want them.

Gun prices overall are creeping back down. Pistol prices were pretty well normal. There were plenty of AR's for less than a grand. A few Panthers around were in the $700 range. There were a couple of "the new" Sterling 9mm carbines for $500. AK's were still high across the board. Saw a couple stock Saigas for $400.

There was a few sellers around gouging, but overall the scene was encouraging.

All I came home with was a Yugo made sling for my M70B1. And one of the guys from CarolinaGunOwners I met there gave it to me. Wouldn't even let me buy lunch, he's a good guy.

PS Neophyte was a no-show.

Smile Gun show

Showed up on Sunday went by myself; just to muddle about. Seems the early year crowds are gone? Pricing has 'chilled' and ammo was in better shape. [prices]. Did pick up some .41 cowboy loads. Did see lots of 'shoppers', Didn't see many buyers. My favorite 'dealer' is pregnant,
A good storm cruised through; and I hung out inside.
