| Gotta love the obama "Town Hall"
Infomercials.
Been complete set-ups so far with handpicked cheeerleader audiences, and preplanned questions and answers--more sales and marketing. Pretty obvious to anyone with an IQ of 3 or more. Pretty funny when Bill O'Reilly (as well as the Boston Globe) busted the "plants" yesterday.
Gotta love the "I'm an NRA member" (psychological trick for group ID and stereotype purposes--no matter where you sit on topics) asking the supposedly "tough" how ya gonna fund it question--even after practice the answer dodge by hussein wasn't particularly good. Is this the best they can do (and like anyone here would do this--doubt even the obamacheerleaders amongst us would be this disingenuous) ?
They need to find better actors though--at least "Quiz Show" aka the story behind the rigged show "Twenty-One" was entertaining and a decent illusion.
It's too bad it is our nation we're talking about here and not a product or game. Maybe we'll get honesty back into gov't someday.

Hmmm. The audacity of padding an audience. Let's see, I can't remember GW Bush giving speeches to any group other than a military one where outbursts are not allowed. No one could openly challenge THEIR Commander-in-Chief.
Since I brought up the Commander-in-Chief thing, I can remember Fox News continually saying it was wrong for anyone to criticize the Commander-in-Chief/President when our country was at war. How quickly they forget their own rhetoric.
All politicians have groomers. Nothing new here.

| Yep-a-doodle
If Obama wants to be Presidential, he should stand before the American people to address the concerns of real people.

All politicians have groomers. Nothing new here. | They can't openly criticize, but they don't have to cheer, interestingly, the troops cheered GWB everywhere he went, and they all looked happy to be there, prob'ly just evil Repub. camera trickery...

GWB was held to superstar status by the troops when I was in Iraq. Only Chuck Norris was able to come close in popularity with the troops downrange. The men OOHRAH-ed and the young women flocked to GWB while their friends took their pictures with him. How do you say, "Don't jump in the president's lap. He's still your commander-in-chief." I never saw that with the likes of Bubba Clinton who was probably the first president to have troops physically turn their backs to him when he spoke, or this guy Obama who was berated by General Petraeus … twice. Apparently, it takes the professionalism of Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to insulate Obama from the troops and their commanders who remember Obama’s lack of faith in them and his refusal to support their efforts in Iraq. Regardless, the troops will continue to do their jobs well in spite of their contempt for their not-so-worthy commander-in-chief. .

How ironic is it that a highly (pardon my delicate phraseology and understatement) conservative magazine my sister got me for Christmas is named "Town Hall"?
These meetings remind me of Jimmy Carter's "fireside chat"s. Team Obama is working hard to be "just folks" to try to keep their supporters from feeling overlooked or forgotten. I don't think they were expecting quite such vociferous opposition. And for those who believe it's a relative few "packing" the meetings, I would point out that the same type of activity, when viewed from the other side of the coin, is usually referred to in terms like grass roots activism, voice of the people, etc.
You wouldn't be seeing the large numbers of vocal opponents to the plan if there weren't a whole lot of people who don't want it crammed down their throats.

It's really a stark contrast when we see the real Americans (voicing their real opinions on very real issues) in the Congressional town halls vs. the softball setups in the scripted obama infomercial "Town Halls" to sell his schemes. Even the mainstream news anchor was scoffing at obama's setups when he said (of Montana) "well, I guess you'd call it a kind of town hall meeting.
They DON'T have America on their side anymore with the Stalin Health Care plan, cap and scam, or spend without bounds. Folks are waking up and the approval numbers are dropping like a stone.
And, to boot, we're getting spam e-mails from what looks like the "snitch list" enemies list ? compilation--Gibbs gave this away yesterday to Major. Sounds to me like it's illegal but I'm sure no one will ever prosecute it.
