Old Bearcat

I bought a group of five pistols for five hundred bucks. This Bearcat had been in a leather holster for several years and was covered in green junk from the leather. Took some blue off the ejector rod housing and front edge of the cylinder. Overall cleaned up better than I thought it would.

OK, OK. Number five is a High Standard .22 auto, "HI-STANDARD MODEL B"

The barrel has been cut down and re-crowned. Nice crown job but the vise left a lot of scares on the barrel, plus no front sight. I was going to put it on gunbroker but now I'm thinking about a sight and then re-blue the barrel, or find a replacement barrel (better idea). When I first looked at this I thought UGLY, it's starting to grow on my. Just what I need, another rimfire semi pistol to take up safe space.

I shot the LLama, very cool pistol, ran a box of ammo and no hiccups.

The Walther's striker spring is so weak it well not discharge. Looks like I may need to make one, first check on-line didn't get me to any.
