get the dementions of a dual tank set up... find out the size and placement of the tanks... then get some boxes fabed up or just get the tanks them selves( brand new of course) have them mounted, make access doors to get into them from inside the cab or from the bed...

... i know you want this truck to look stealth so here is a thought on the winch, they make a platform that the winch bolts to and then the platform can be attached to the vehicle by way of the tow hitch in back if you have the style that comes off and on. when you get the front bumber you could put in another 2" reciver in the front of the truck, alot of trucks are set up like that and dont look out of the ordinary... so that way you can use the winch in either the rear of the truck or the front of the truck... just a thought...

Well, if ya want stealth...
Something like this
JOBOX Storall Self Storage Drawer Units

With something similar to this on top
DiamondBack Truck Covers - As tough as your truck - Now @ truckaddons.com!
One of these to fill the gaps
Cabela's -- Better Built Fender Well Gun Box

And one of these babies for bulk storage.
JOBOX JAH1426982 Aluminum Long-Bed Fullsize Chest - Black

All the secured storage ya need...and nobody the wiser.
these are just examples, there are 100s of brands out there...and the prices vary greatly.

Looking good Amos !!! All you need now is a fiberglass camper level with the top of the cab.
You can really rig out the inside of the camper with survival gear, food and water as well as a place to sleep.

Can you imagine being pulled over by the cops and being searched...I can here them now.

What the Hell is all this !!!!! LOL

I would add a truck cap (ARE or Leer would be my pick). I had a pickup with no cap on it and had to "evacuate" a specific area during a bad time of night and had three guys jump into the bed. From that point on, an open truck bed has been against my security rules. All the caps I've ever owned have been ARE and they are GREAT quality. I have never owned a Leer cap, but I know friends who have and their quality is really good too.

ARE website - A.R.E. : Manufacturer of Truck Caps, Truck Canopies, Truck Toppers, Camper Shells, Hard Tonneau Covers, Work Caps, Fiberglass Tops, and Truck Accessories.
Leer website - LEER, maker of Truck Caps, Camper Shells, Truck Toppers, Truck Bed Covers, Tonneau Covers and Pickup Truck Accessories

If you don't want an aggressive bumper on there (my wife calls them "Zombie Bumpers"), then you should get a front receiver hitch for it. As has been said, this can be used for a portable hitch-mount winch, and it can also be used as a very strong recovery point so that you don't have to have tow hooks hanging out everywhere. If you want a different (stronger) bumper, check out ARB and Warn.

Front hitches - Front Mount Receiver Hitch
ARB bumpers - ARB 4x4 Accessories
Warn bumpers - Warn Industries - Mounting Systems: Heavy Duty Bumper

If you do stick with the stock bumpers, I would get in behind them and reinforce the stock bumper construction. You can get some serious strength behind those things if you have moderate metal fab skills. One of the things on my never-ending project list to help my buddy do exactly that to his Suburban SS.

For winches, you can't go wrong with Warn. What you will need (regardless of manufacturer) is a winch and a portable winch cradle. The winch should be AT LEAST 1.5 times your GVW. Go to 2 X GVW if you can. Get synthetic cable because it saves a TON of weight.

Winches - Winch Depot | Browse Our Large Selection of Winches and Accessories
Portable winch cradle - Winch Cradle

Get all the skid plates that they make for your vehicles. Just start shopping around. Engine skid, tranny, skid, transfer case skid, fuel tank skid. You might also look at rocker-guards. Step bumpers only cause more damage if something hits your rocker area.

Here's a skid plate I found just by typing "Chevy pickup skid plates" into a Google search. Chevy Silverado Skid Plates - Chevy Silverado Truck Accessories - AutoTruckToys.com

I would also install the aux fuel tank and a locking differential (at least in the rear end). Personally, I like the ARB air locker, but there are a lot of locking diff options. Air Lockers

Throw in an on-board air compressor/tank and a good set of tools and spare parts, and you'll have a vehicle that is ready to tackle almost anything that lands in your path...and it will look pretty much exactly the same as it does now, except that you'll have a whole HUGE area of weather safe storage in the rear.

Good luck on the continuation of your build! I really like what you've accomplished so far!

do a search for police car equipment, you'll find the underseat boxes and everything .
we just put a unit like that in a tahoe at work, it's the width of the storage area and about 10" tall.
it's a gunsafe and storage for flares, stopsticks and such

Yep...If you add a camper you can get them with rails to stow stuff up there.

You also might want to have some magnetic signs made, to put on the doors of the truck that say something like "Happy Home Morturary" or "Body Parts are Us" To keep people from jumping on or hitchen a ride.

Are you looking for inside roof storage, or outside (like racks)? ARE will put Yakima Control Tower racks on pretty much any of their caps. You can also fab up some exterior racks without too much trouble.

If you're looking for inside storage, I actually built an inside-the-cap roof rack in my last ARE cap. It wasn't too hard actually, just put a few aluminum rods across the upper part of the cap and screw them through the sides (remember to seal the holes). Fishing poles, long tools, etc fit quite nicely up there. You could do the same and get some under-the-bed storage boxes to slide up there or something.

Good old truck. Does it have a points ignition system? If so great. You might want to take an alternate route to avoid the checkpoints. Man, they would have a hay day if they stopped you.

Great start for limited budjet. The following is the perfect truck.

3/4 ton
4 X 4
Non electronic ignition
Grill guard/bumper combo
10 ply full lig tires. 2 spares
Extra gas tanks for over 100 gl. cap.
Camper shell for storage and sleeping. (I don't like to sleep with bugs on ground)
Tools
Food and water
Guns and ammo Fishing gear
Space for the grand kids.
If they arn't here I might let the wife come along.
Lots of spare cloths and shoes.
I'll need a trailer before its over.

That is a nice looking truck.

Im thinking how long that ride would last if somebody shot the radiator?
All those hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars spent on a dead rig.

Something to think about - Your trucks survival?
