All right guys its been awhile since i posted up what i have been working on and its my BUG OUT VEHICLE .
Chevrolet Silverado crew cab v 6 . The model i chose was the work model no power windows no power windows no carpet no frills .
I have taken out the center front seat and installed a 2ft wide by 2 ft long and 3 ft deep safe. Here in the pictures you will see my truck and my gear .
As it is right now .
In the safe .
1. Glock 17 9mm with 2 33 round mags 2 17 round mags.
2. SOG multi tool
3. One class 2 concealable bullet proof vest .
In the back .
1. Ak-74 custom built by yours truly with Kavar Nato stock and hand guards. Also has original Russian ak-74 muzzle brake.
2.4 30 round mags attached to drivers side Seat.
I also want to do some things under the back seats and possibly on the roof or in the floor bed . So i also will post an article i got out of the NRA magazine and i would like your feedback on what you would do and what you thoughts and ideas are on this and what i have done so far.

LOL as many guns as you have...ya better get a V8 model, I'm not sure if the V6 will haul all the weight!
My first thought is that you need some external protection (looks like you have the internals covered). I'd suggest a hi-quality bumper/brushguard combo for the front. The combos are better then the bolt-ons, never know when ya might need to go through something. A pipe back bumper can be jerry-rigged to be a on-board air tank. No truck is complete without a toolbox in the bed, the chest type holds more then the on-bed-rail type. I'd also suggest a auxilary light bar on the cab roof, it'll be dark when the grid goes down...if ya mount the lights on your brushguard, they will be destroyed if you hit something.
p.s. A couple of gas cans is nice...and spare belts, oil, and basic hand tools.

Knightrider - I think you have a nice start on your rig. you will also need storage for eats and water and depending on how many people or animals you will be bugging out with (shelter and clothes) you may want to add a gas mask (with nato filters) to the safe . Also I think you would be better served with an under dash holster instead of the book. but all in all you are doing great, most of the folks will talk the talk but you are actually walking the walk. good luck and keep up the good work.
did either of you see the thing that is a draw under the back seat ?
SOG hatchet
Extra clothes
Spare cash
Emergency first aid kit
Jumper cables
Couple energy bars
Bottle of Jack Daniels No.7 wouldn't hurt

Remember that old show Simon & Simon. Remember that Dodge they had? I always thought that cattle pusher they had on front was badass.
I know nothing about winches. Wenches, yes. Winches, no.
If you're going to to do it, why not do it right. Here's what the British MOD is selling off just now, some in left hand drive as well. Ideal bug out vehicle or urban RV.
