New Jersey: To hunt or not to hunt as bear run-ins increase
Black bear complaints in New Jersey are up sharply over a year ago, renewing concerns over what the state should do about its growing bruin population.Whatever the number, no bear hunt is set for this year. The state Fish and Game Council. which sets the game code, supports a hunt.
one of my cousins lives in a rural part of NJ and she is very wary of going out at night even in the apartment parking lot cause of the bears. funny, in the rest of NJ they have to be wary of 2 legged predators, she lives in the country and has to watch for 4 legged ones. the bears have gotten pretty bold in Fla. too. they stopped us from hunting them in the early '70s. whenever an animal is not hunted, within a few generations they loose all fear of man. same with the gators and panthers here. that is what happens when game management is by emotion not science

From what I see on TV, NJ sure has a good population of black bears.
Is it the Governor that is putting the" no bear hunting on my watch "
command out ?
