I am in need of a breech plug / nipple for a Scout. Any caliber, rifle or pistol will work. Any one have an extra they will part with? Any ideas where I can buy one? I have tried T/C and all of the larger black powder supply houses and sales with no luck. Also can not find on ebay.

i picked up a new in the box "texas scout carbine (case hardened reciever cover and hex barrel) about 5 years ago on a trade. 2 years ago i wanted a spare nipple /breech plug i called thompson center's parts dept. and they had them in stock.

Well, found the breech plug/nipple I have been looking for - T/C parts was no help (out of production and didn't know where to find any). I found a good supply at a local sporting goods store just around the corner from a shooting club I belong to - had to ask and they checked the stock room and found 8 new in blister pack nipples from T/C. If anyone needs one message me and I will see what I can do.

Have you tried Brownell's or Midway. I was looking for some fiber optic sights that will fit on my CVA, and hope I found some from Brownell's. We'll find out here shortly if they fit. But I did see some breech plugs advertised there.

Tried both with no luck and all the other supply houses i could think of plus some large black powder stores. These nipples are getting real scarce - I see quite a few rifles and some pistols that are for sale but need the nipple/breech plug. I really like my Scout. It is a .54 caliber and I have taken 2 elk with it....great woods gun !!!!

Hello, I was wondering if you know if they still have some nipples available? And if so How could II go about getting one or two.
