I am so proud of my wife!

My wife and I were shopping at Target yesterday after the gun show, and I was OCing my .38 snubbie (legal in AZ) and my dear sweet wife was OCing her S&W Model 10 in a chest rig she just bought ("I like this, it feels comfortable, like a purse," she says.) Well, I had to answer the call of nature. When I get back, my wife tell me about a couple that she overheard talking about me. "I don't know why he has to go walking around Target with a gun," says this young woman. My wife, my pistol packing Mama with my 3 yr old in the baby seat of the cart turns around, with her revolver at her side and says, "Because he can," and walks off. She says they were google eyed.

I got a good one.

It is a shame that we can't do something that is legal to do without being hassled or arrested. I always carry concealed but Ohio is a open carry state. It would be nice to be able to carry anyway we wanted to. I'm glad Arizona citizens can open carry. Here in Ohio we wouldn't last an hour before we would be arrested or asked to leave if we were walking around in a store.

Ha! That is a good answer.

Honestly, if I see OC anywhere, I'm far less likely to consider that person a potential threat because they came in letting everyone know they are armed. The troublemakers normally either keep quiet about it or barge in and start up right away.

Pretty much because 99% of the people looking to cause trouble with a firearm in a convenience store don't have holsters and come in waving and pointing them. I've seen plenty of people open carrying working in retail and other customer service type jobs. I've never paid it any mind.

The one I find funny is when someone feels the need to point it out when I've gone hiking in national forests. There are signs warning about mountain lions posted along the trails at various points and there have been reported attacks before. Chances are more than likely that you won't be attacked, but I'd rather not chance it.
