I don't care what anybody says, the PRESIDENT should wear a tie

Just what the title says. It's like Obama's some punk who wants to be "down with the common man". Well I got news for you, Mr. President, you AREN'T the common man! The office of the President should come with some RESPECT, and he should respect the office enough to wear a damn necktie when he goes out in public! Half the time during his town hall meetings, he has no tie, the jacket comes off, etc etc... it's all so CASUAL! Maybe if he wasn't so casual about everything, people might believe him and maybe think that what he's talking about is important!

Sheesh!

In my opinion he has NO respect for the office he unfortunately holds. He also has no respect for America in general. He is an embarrassment to this country and he is making a mockery of the office.

Hey, All, remember that an empty suit doesn't need a necktie.

It's...a strip of cloth around your neck with no purpose whatsoever anymore.

Yes, that's vital.

Did everyone know there's a bit of a movement among doctors to stop wearing ties? Seems they can help carry infectious agents from patient to patient.

A tie. Wow. No really, WOW.

And darn that Kennedy and his lack of a hat! Whippersnapper! One would think formal fashions actually changed over time.

Now, put on your pocketwatch and fob and get your walking stick. We have a business meeting to attend! A tie? Pfft! That's for carriage-drivers, not men of import!

One would think things never come into fashion in formal wear then go out again. Huh.

Sheesh. I know that the Powder Keg has become the Let's Beat Up Obama Barrel, but this one's a stretch. I don't care two hoots in !@#$ whether a president has a tie on or not. And somehow, I doubt having him leave his tie on would change a single person's opinion on Gun and Game about what he was saying....

That's as bad as all the hoorah last week, when the First Lady wore mid-thigh length shorts while sightseeing at the Grand Canyon. How dare she wear shorts in the desert?!?

And Coel is right; I remember newspaper columnists fuming about Kennedy's lack of decorum and gravitas, because he didn't wear a hat outdoors.

I'm calling "bullshit" on that one Troy! You aren't that much older than me and I doubt as a 9 or 10 year old boy, you were reading the newspaper, much less, interested in what was being said about Kennedy. Maybe looking at the comics.......

Roll on the floor laughing my a$$ off.

I did find plenty of pics of W. looking Goofy, but he always had a tie on.

I don't know how many of you saw Stones movie 'W'. I came out with a much better opinion of him than I went in with. But Rove and Cheney, ugh, sent shivers up my spine.

imho
(in my humble opinion)

Sometimes Bush could'nt make a sentence we could understand, but Obama makes wonderful use of the English language and you still can't understand it . I can almost see your point.
