RIP. I suspect this thread is going to draw a lot of poison and hatred.

But as much as he was hated, as much as he screwed up at Chappaquiddick, and as misguided as he was sometimes, Ted Kennedy spent his life trying to do what he thought was good for the country.

He could very easily have taken his share of the family fortune and partied the rest of his life, instead of following his notions of public service.

What he thought was good for the country was really bad for the country. He was criminal that escaped punishment and pushed socialism whenever he could. He was a liar and he wanted to take away freedoms. Poison and Hatred? No. Truth? Yes. No great loss.

Ted Kennedy spent his life trying to make people believe he was doing what he thought was good for the country.
Fixed that for ya.

As I said, poison and hatred.

Pissing on a fresh body doesn't show a lot of class, IMHO. There will be plenty of time later for history to judge him.

Personally, when I stand up on Judgment Day my plan is to ask for mercy, not justice....

The hatred is far and wide:

The Guns Network LLC ~ Discussion Forums - Ted Kennedy Dead?

Don't expect tears from gunowners or non-socialists.

Truth hurts. I'm not pissing on a fresh body, but those things are TRUE! Just because he is dead doesn't make him any better a person. The very short "history" I used does judge him. I'm not going to play nice just because he is dead. Not hate or poison- truth. He was an enemy of freedom.

I wouldn't dance too much...there are plenty of gun-grabbin' lefty liberals standing in line to take his place.

Ted, I am sorry you couldn't make better decisions given your position in our society.

There is a time and a place for everything. And your eagerness to tell us what a scumbag the deceased was, instead of letting the dead bury the dead, says more about you than it does about him.

I wish they had a better role model growing up.

All I'm gonna say is, I saw, up close, more families grieving over their lost loved ones than most people ever will.

Celebrating a human being's death, someone who was not evil, is DAMN shameful. And don't start in on "evil", we went over this when Barry gets compared to Nazis. People who do that don't know from frickin' evil.

No excuses. Mistakes in life are one thing. Things you disagree with are another.

But levity over this?

There are politicians I have greatly disagreed with, who I felt harmed the nation, but I never felt joy at their deaths.

Right now, people are out there crying their eyes out over their dead grandpa.

Repulsive. Nice to know what's what around here, sometimes.

But Coel...Everybody reacts differently to Tragedy and Death , and you can't argue with that...some Laugh , some cry , some Dance with joy , some put their fists thru walls...It is only Human.
Hey the Man was suffering with Brain Cancer and Now he Isn't...We should be Happy for him...its Over.
I do wonder what Mary Jo's family is doing right now...

He may have been a criminal but as Troy said We sure as heck should not be asking for justice on judgement day. We are all sinners each and every one of us and are all the same in Gods eyes. Rather he truly believe what he said is right ar not is between him and God. +1000 Troy
