Beer prices are going up

This is some of the worst news I have heard in a long time.

Quote:
Beer drinkers, get ready to shell out more for a Bud: Anheuser-Busch InBev (AHBIY) is boosting the price of its brews.

The increases will occur later this year and will cover "different price tiers," the company told The Wall Street Journal late Tuesday.

"We do plan on taking prices up in the fall on the majority of our volume in the majority of the U.S.," Dave Peacock, president of Anheuser-Busch InBev's U.S. division, told the paper. "The environment is very favorable, we think."

I got a friend that might have to mortgage his house because of this.
So sad.

Haven't had a drop since I quit in 1987. Won't bother me any, just like smoking taxes didn't.
What bothers me is the people who go into dept or take away from the kids' (food, clothing, school needs etc) to buy booze or cigs.

Since I don't drink, I hope people stop spending money and hoarding ammo and start spending their ammo money on whiskey and beer. That way I might be able to find some 22 bulk packs and .380 ammo..

Its not beer but I drink a lot of gatorade. Last night I was at wal-mart and the gatorade I drink went up from 4.98 for an 8 pack of 20 oz bottles to 5.48 for the same thing.

Why would anyone drink the domestic swill? It isn't even beer. It has rice sugar in it. I brew my own so my prices aren't going up, and it is actually beer, yeast, hops, barley, water. Oh and of course some wheat in my heffes

Riseing prices and taxes are riseing prices and taxes, and I don't like them wether they effect me directly or not.
What makes one think that a price riseing on one product just because the manufacturer can raise it won't spread to all of the products?

I want a special prosecutor named, and a Senate investigation into why true-blue Americans are once again taking it on the chin from evil international corporations.....

Budweiser is kinda gross anyway, right? They might just price-increase their way right out of business.

As long as tequila and vodka doesn't go up...I won't drink beer anyway...it's all equine liquid waste IMO. LOL
