Polymer .45's: XD vs FNP vs M&P

What are your guys opinions? Doing a google search seems to come up with posts that i don't think are too unbiased (XDtalk and FNForum).

So i come to you guys. One thing i do like about the FNP is an exposed hammer, but otherwise, i think they all look good.

So let fly the opinions, reviews, and knowledge (preferably based on first hand experience)

Thanks all

This thread is going to be very biased

I'm an M&P owner here, sooo........

I've got over 1500 rounds through my M&P Fullsize 9mm, zero failures to speak of. Feeds 9mm slugs of all weights. The trigger is Glock-like, and takes getting used to.

Aside from that, I would trust my life to it if I ever had to defend myself.

The XDm is a great gun as well. Of the three that you listed, you really can't go wrong. Keep in mind, the S&W will probably be cheapest (and made in the US, and have a lifetime warranty). The FNP may also have those characteristics. The Springfield isn't made on US soil, and may not have the lifetime warranty.

the XD and XDm are made in croatia. springfield offers a lifetime warrenty on them to the ORIGINAL owner. for what its worth though. 1000 rounds of 9mm through my XDm with 0 problems. all ammo types too. fmj, hp, +p, even a box of cast leads got swallowed

Yup, like I said, you can't go wrong with the M&P, XD/m, or FNP.

Best thing to do is to get your hands on all 3, and see which feels the best to you.
