Waterproof storage cases for supplies & guns

Something to consider when accumulating your survival supplies is storage cases that are damage proof and waterproof. I think about these things because my work just became a distributor for Hardigg Storm Cases. I have got to see first hand how cool these things are when I was taking pictures of them for the website. If the boss wouldn't have a heart attack, I would have actually tried running over one with my car to make sure they were as rugged as Hardigg says they are. He said tire tracks would not make the case sellable and that they already ran over them with Military vehicles and my car only weighs a ton. Either way, I am getting myself at least two of these cases for my camera equipment and my pistols. YouTube has a video of one being drug around by a jetski, being dropped off a building and ran over. The case had a laptop computer in it and it was still perfectly fine after this guy just totally abused the case.
Now, I am not pushing anyone to buy any of these cases from my work. But I have put a lot of time in on our website and at the very least you can educate yourselves on these cases and all the models and what they are capable of. Then, if you are interested, you will know what you want and can search on your own to find if there is better pricing or other brands you might want. But know that I have done a ton of research on other brands, and they just don't stand up to these Storm Cases.

bunny, i actual have done some research on the storm case i even talked with there customer service or an employee or such... they are awesome cases just out of my price range for now... they even make specific cases that hold rifles, shotguns and semi-auto pistols... these cases rock and thanks for the links and pics.

I didn't have one of the deep seated ones like your pics show. I bought a long gun case from academy though. It's what my guns were in when I was away from my apartment and the hurricane hit. My apartment got flooded and I wasn't able to go back for 2 weeks. It was like 15 dollars for the case and the best money I ever spent. Both my guns that were in that case were bone dry. Very cheap investment IMO. I think there was 3 feet of flooding and my gun case was under my bed.

I liked the idea if I dropped the case, that the foam kept everything cushioned. The rifle cases have four pieces of foam just in the body of the case. The pistol cases have pluck and pull foam, so you can pull out the indents where you want them. I have a soft canvas case now and hadn't done much research on these until the boss said we were going to start selling them. So now I am pretty impressed.

Glad to see that they were still there and not stolen or confiscated? But then, if'n you be in Texas, they would never confiscate them. lol

Did you happen to also have them hidden or maybe locked up or just under a bed or in a closet TexasT?

I like the Storm cases as well. The Pelican cases, I believe they are, are just as good. Problem I have with both is the same as larmus's in that both are well out of my price range at the moment.

I have used larger ammo cans to store my gear and handguns. A few packs of silica packs removes the moisture and the gasket keeps the seal tight and water out. The only thing to worry about is rusting of the case that may lead to water intrusion. If that is a concern, as in caching these underground somewhere, then slap some heavy epoxy or asphalt paint over the entire sealed can and you should be good to go for the rest of your life on this. I like the idea of taking a 20mm ammo can and having all of my docs in it in case of hurricanes. I don't have that problem now, but did when I lived in Florida and Louisiana. I could grab a few ammo cans in a hurry and be on my way.

They were just hidden under the bed laying on the floor, but the case does have holes for a lock. You can put at least 2 long guns in there and add some pistols if you want. Or you could get one and add a lot of pistols in it. It has the foam in there too, it's just not deep and it doesn't have notches for the guns. I do like the ones BW showed though.
