.30 Carbine Ammo Choices

What are .30 carbine ammo choices besides FMJ (for varmint shooting)? I've shot UMC and S&B FMJ at targets. I've seen JHP .30 carbine that I think was Winchester. Does anyone else make JHP or SP? All experience and opinions welcomed.

There used to be some sabot loads for the carbine, but have not seen any for years now.
Stay away from the GECO brand. It's made in Germany. The brass is soft, and cases have seperated on numerous occasions.
Outside of what has been mentioned, I can't recall anything else, except for the Lake City surplus out there.

Stay away from French made ammo,it's corrosive. And some LC-52 is a Chinese copy and NOT Lake City. It's corrosive also.
