Gotcoffee caled in a report from the field that he and his BIL have been having a great time with the Dove hunting there in South Dakota this weekend. He keeps calling to rub it in what I am missing out on. This is in the same place we were shooting p-dogs last June.

Between the two of them they got over 50 birds in two days out. Bad news is his dog Smokey has gone dumb and has developed some bad habits that has Harold cussin' a blue streak. I'll let him tell you about that, he says he hopes to be back in from the wild country by Monday evening.

here in tennessee twra leases fields for use on opening day and the following weekend.i had to work everyday but sunday.the field i went to was like a ghost town,very few hunters AND no birds.some guy training his dog said 6000,000 were killed in the two adjoining fields the two previous hunts.i went out with two friends sunday,i took one shot and killed one bird,they never got to shoot.hopefully i can find another field and give the new [to me] 1300 a real workout.
