What to do on our anniversary?

This Friday (9-11), will be my wife and my 16th wedding anniversary. We both work, but trying to figure out what to do this weekend. Subway to eat Friday (where we went on our wedding night), maybe Appleby's Saturday.
My dilema is I said I would take her to the Medina Gun Show Saturday, or to the new Woodbury Outfitters store in Coshocton (about a 90 minute drive). She frowned at both. My mother said I should leave her alone all day as that is a gift she could use!
Maybe you guys (and gals) could help out by giving ideas. Just remember, we have a 15 year old son who will be with us.

A nice dinner and maybe a movie she would like to see. A "Chick Flick" Congratulations on your 16th.
We will celebrate our 26th this January.

Looks like a perfect opportunity to earn some "brownie points" that can be used toward all the other options in the poll at a later time. ???

You say you've been married 16 years ? LOL...Serious now this is what I'd do.

Surely you have a Hotel or Motel with a Honey Moon Suite. If so reserve it and put some flowers and Champain in it.

Take her out to Dinner BUT don't feed her to much ! After dinner go straight to the Honey Moon suite.

Once arriveing IF she says...Whats going on !!! With concern in her voice say I need to check under the Hood a second and then drive back home.

If she looks at you in a quisical manner procede to show her to the room.....

After 40 years in a successful (at least I hope so) marriage, I can tell you she would love the romantic thing. Get someone to watch the 15 yr. old and court her again. She'll love it!!!

She is not really a movie theatre type person. I am but she isn't a crowd person. (She doesn't like to shop unless she has to!) Nearest relative is 70 miles away so no watchers for the kid, but she is not the hotel type either. Does not have pierced ears either. Alcohol has never touched her lips.

If I was to buy anything, it would have to come out of my gun/milk bottle money (she takes care of the house money which is a GOOD thing!), and I want a sight for my 39A Marlin and I've seen a milk bottle for $60 I also want.
Man, this sure makes me sound cheap, doesn't it!

I'd like to court her - right to the gun show to buy another pistol!

If you can do the housework all this week and let her relax a little, LOVE will find a way, she will let you know what she wants to do.
Does she share your gun habit? Take her to the gun show and buy HER a pistol?
Does she have a hobby? Get her a gift certificate, and take her to Subway and get the exact meal you shared together 16 yrs ago.
Do you have any close friends at church that son can spend the evening and see where it leads to?
Good luck and let us know.

What she wants? If I understood women I'd be in group by myself!

I ask her and she says "What do you want to do?" I say gun show and she rolls her eyes and walks away, mumbling about never getting a serious answer.

If I used the vac cleaner it would cause her to have a heart attack!
I do cook and do dishes, but am not allowed to use the washing machine (we won't go there for the reason).

No real hobbies. She likes to shoot, but not around other people. I guess her main hobby is trying to stay sane while being married to me!

Drop her off at a day spa and while she is being pampered, you go shooting and hone in your skills and get together later. A little food, some vino and dancing some romancing...

The way I see it about 360 days a year I do what I want and she tags along on about 100 or so of them. So for the anniversary, birthday, Christmas, and a couple others she gets what she wants.

FOrget what you want to do for a change and buy her flowers. Doesnt even have to be roses but 16 red roses and one white or pink always gets them. One for every year married and one to show she is special out of all the rest. Then a nice dinner.
DO IT FOR HER.
