Is this what it's like??

I have been on vacation Wed. I have Squirrel hunted almost every morning, went to the shooting range several times, mowed the lawn and drank 3 cases of cold beer. Is this what it's like to retire?

I can't wait....

Yes. Life is good. Every morning is a treat. I wake up and figure out what I want to do that day. On the other side, I often have wondered how I got all of the work done that I did plus meeting the requirements of a 50-60 hour work week. It's also fun to go outside of yourself and give some time to organizations that you had no time for before. Sort of making the world a better place.

Nope, some times you forget to put the beer in the fridge and it hurts too dang much to get up to put it in so you drink it warm unless the misses comes by and puts it in for ya. Then she probably wont bring it to ya when it gets cold. LOL!

Sorry but when you retire your doctor will not let you drink beer, and you have to watch what you eat and take all your pills and they want you to exercise. Your wife will make a list of things for you to do and most of your hunting buddies are dead but your legs are shot so you don't hunt anyway. At least you can go to the gunshops and look around during the week when its not busy. You can also go to the range when no one else is there.
