Hakims are going for about 5-600$ that i have seen, out of the few that i have seen.
Im getting the Hakim and 1000 rounds of 8mm, for my PSL and just the stuff it came with.
Edit for sprouts post:
The Yugo ammoIim getting is supposed to be good for these rifles. Ive look at a lot of webpages over the last few days.
Ill have another PSL someday, just not the one i have. LOL | Was Yours A Tennessee Guns One Like Mine? It Was Pretty Okay For Me..But Imma Make Mine A Pretty One In Russian Red With A Polished Bolt And Heat Treated Bolt And Hammer...

Congrats cr, I'm glad to hear you have something you enjoy shooting. Don't write off the PSL entirely though because they are sweet rifles when properly built. You should shoot mine sometime.

Oh and cr, you may want to build up your tolerance to electrical charges because it's the only way to sustain the jolts incurred from the cattle prod.

There's one Hakim that has been in and out of the local gun shop four times in two years. No optics, just iron sights. The thing that causes the buyers to trade it in on something else seems to be a combination of ammunition issues as discussed above; and the fact it's nearly impossible to find spare magazines for the Hakim in the United States. I've never seen one online for less than $100, and even at that price they seem to be rare as hen's teeth. I've never seen a spare Hakim magazine in the real world. Having to stop and reload the magazine does put a crimp in your shooting.

and mags can be had at Hakim 10 Round 8mm (7.92mm) Magazine*|*e-GunParts.com yes its a repro and im going to order one to see how it works eventually, to keep the original in good shape.
and, it can be reloaded with clips from the top, just be sure to put it on safe. more info Collecting and Shooting the Military Surplus Rifle (2006) - Surplusrifle.com
