Has anyone here shot the taurus 92? Is there a feeding or jamming problem with it like the berett? I want to buy my wife one but dont want to buy it if it jams like the beretta.

The Beretta 92?I have a Taurus pt 101 which is based off the Beretta design. Have had it for 8 years, still going strong.

I have a Taurus PT92AFS. (identical to the Beretta PT92 except the Taurus can be carried "cocked & locked! The Beretta has decocker only.) It's full size, with a 5" barrel, stainless & anodized silver. I reload 9mm (and 380acp, Taurus PT58HC) & have fired about 2000 rounds through it. It is rock solid, raliable, never had any problems with it, no failures period! It's quite accurate & fun to shoot. ...golf balls beware,...

I had a PT-92 for over 20 years it was a great gun, never, EVER jammed and very accurate. Put many thousands of rounds through it. The 92 has a great reputation for reliability . Ended up getting stolen or I'd still have it.

I too have the PT92AFS and really like it...I did replace the recoil spring with a slightly heavier Wolff spring at the suggestion of a friend with one like mine..It seems to soften the recoil a bit (which was not bad to start) and I'm told it will probably hold up better over the long run...I doubt I'd really ever "shoot out" the factory 13# spring ( Wolff is 15#). I do shoot some Gold Dot +P self defense loads on occasion and that's my S/D load for home protection...I think the +P is perhaps better served with the heavier spring which cushions some of the recoil and may be easier on the pistol...I don't mind the fixed sights as the pistol is right on at the 6 o'clock hold position. I've never had a failure of any kind in the 600 or so rounds I've put through it. I'm a big guy and the large pistol fits me well...We can't CC here so that isn't an issue. All in all I really like it.

I have a Taurus PT92 (9mm) and a PT58 (.380). Both nearly 20 years.
I've never had an issue with either and I've used a variety of ammo in both.
I personally prefer the steel slide of the Taurus over the alloy slide of the Beretta. Had a Beretta in the sevice and hated the POS.
The grips are on the big size so make sure it fits your wife before you lay out the money.
