case seperation

I was sighting in the CZ 52 that I had Seabee Scotty install adjustable sights on when the slide didn't return to battery. I ejected that round and tried to chamber the next one but the same problem. Looking into the chamber I saw that a case had seperated at the shoulder and the neck is stuck in the chamber. the base ejected after fireing so I don't know which brand of brass it was. I use star line, S&B and wolf brass. none are fired more than a couple of times because those pistols throw the brass into the next county so not too many are recovered. I seen brass seperate at the base but never at the shoulder. anyone else seen this? also any ideas on removing the stuck neck? the only broken case extractor I have is for the .30 browning machine gun and it don't fit
