Question about 'yote hunting

I am not a resident of Nevada, but I remember reading some time back that in Nevada residents AND nonresidents can hunt coyotes without any type of license. Is this info correct? If so, can anyone give any ideas on where or when to go?

Your very welcome. Im a hunter safety instructor our here in NV so I knew right where to look for you to get the info. We get asked that question a lot. As far as where to go is really hit or miss.

It really depends on what part of the state you are going to be in to answer that question. I have had greater success in Northern Nevada than I have had here in Southern. The best time to hunt is early fall when the pups are hunting on their own and are more prone to come running in when you ring the dinner bell. In the winter is when their coats are prime if you are wanting to skin and tan the hide. I would say now thru April is a good time up north. And for down here in Southern NV where it's still triple digits I would say you would have to wait until late Sep early Oct to start seeing good results.
