Vintage BSA Boy Scout Pocket Knife Imperial W/Motto OLD - eBay (item 250497669585 end time Sep-19-09 17:02:02 PDT)

i had mine for years, don't know what became of it or my Kamp King or my USARMY stainless steel version.

the can opener was handy for camping and day hikes. the caplifter/screwdriver blade was handy too.

I carried mine,a Kabar brand,so long I wore the rivet heads off the lanyard ring and it fell off.Still got it but it sits in the drawer.Used it a lot for years as a mechanic on heavy equipment, that canopener was real handy for pulling out o-rings and filter gaskets.

I still have mine. My dad gave it to me when I was 8 years old. That knife is now as old as he was when he died.

Yes I still have mine, both of them. I lost my original BSA pocket knife, bought another and finally found the original. Now both of my sons will get their fathers' BSA pocket knife in a few more years. My oldest boy will also get his grandfathers' BSA knife as well.

Camillus was the most recent supplier of BSA knives till they went belly up a couple years ago. The Scouts contracted with a Chinese firm for a replacement pocket knife. Unfortunately the first shipment of knives were disappointing to say the least. Losse fit, blades not sharp, poor fit and rough edges. Very few knives were sold. Eventually a second shipment with decent quality knives arrived. So the BSA is now selling Chinese made pocket knives

The only American maker offering a BSA pocket knife I could find was Case.It was $105 at Smokey Mountain Knife Works.Puts it out of range of most kids I know involved in Scouting.

I still have my Mil-K-818 made by Camillus in 1964 which was issued to me in 1967.

I recent bought several Boy Scout knives from the official BSA store to stash in survival rucks because the military versions are no longer available. These are Chinese, but the materials and workmanship of the several I got were OK for the $19.95 price and the blades are sharp.Boy Scout Knife
