The only thing that even remotely gun related were a few gun posters. I ask the guy if I am even in the right place and he asks what I need. I tell him I am looking for tritium night sights and tell him it's for one of my kimbers. He gives me a blank look like he hasn't an idea of what i'm talking about. He then opens a back door and asks someone and they guy says yes we have them. He then asks if I want fixed or adjustable as they have both in stock ready to go. He quotes me a price of $85.00 so I said ok i'll think about it and walked out the door. I wouldn't do business there even if I hadn't read about the Original posters problems. I had an uncomfortable feeling the entire time I was there. Why the OP stated $15 and these guys say $85 is beyond me but I will repeat I wouldn't buy anything out of that store if they did have anything for sale.
It sounds like you did some good reconnaissance work there. It sounds like these guys are collecting parts through repair orders, keeping the parts, probably in a locked shipping container out back, and moving them to customers locally or through the mail.

Or selling them to gangs, mexican drug runners, or who knows what.

Thanks and Follow-up

Thanks to all of you who have responded to my original post. I am sorry, I have been out of pocket for the last 3 weeks.

I wanted to respond to some of your questions, thank you for your insight and sympathy, and gvie you some follow-up. I am really impressed that you took the time to go by and visit this place...I am not at all surprised by what you found.

The cost of the sights was $155. $15 was the charge for the sights to be 'professionally installed.'

I have not heard a word back from MMC Sights. They never responded to my calls, e-mails, or letters. I have not heard anything about the complaints that I filed. I did get in touch with the webmaster/web designer for their internet sight. He told me the company is run by Jeff and Julie Wilson. I tried to contact them, and of coarse got no reponse.

I called the Custom Shop at Kimber and they installed and fitted a new slide to my gun...it cost me $480 with shipping. I have the gun back and it is as good as new.

It is amazing to me that people/businesses can get away with this.

Once again, thanks to all.

Stay away from MMC Sight, Inc.

Glad you have your pistol back up and running again. I am sorry to hear that you have not heard from them and nothing came of your complaints. Hopefully people will read this and think twice about dealing with the company. Word of mouth is the best advertising and when someone is wronged the bad publicity can spread like wildfire.
I hope they do right the wrong but doubt they will.

Glad I spent the money to deal with Novak's.

Re: WARNING about a company named MMC Sights Inc. in Las Vegas, NV

by jschlechty Today at 21:29

I had a very similair experice with MMC recently. In September, I ordered a set of adjustable night sights for my Glock 19. I had dealt with MMC years ago when I bought some sights for my GLock 17,and had a very positive experince with them. Wanting another sight like the one on my G17, I ordered a new sight from them.
After a couple of weeks, I hadn't heard anything, so I tried to call them and could not get an answer. I posted a question about them on GLock Talk, and gotother people reporting basically the same thing. I e-mailed them asking if they were in business, and got a reply from Julie Wilson stating that yes, they were still in business, and that my order would be processed "shortly". Another week or so went by, again phone calls and messages went unanswered, so I sent Juie WIlson another e-mail. Got a reply from her on October 10th saying that they had been having "server issues for the last week", and that my sight would be sent out that day or the next depending on pick-up times.
Since the I have left repeated phone messages, e-mails, etc., and have not received a single reply. I canceled my order (luckilyI paid with a VISA card, and the bank refunded the money) and also filed a complaint on-line with the Southern Nevade Better Business Bureau.
I agree that people need to be warned about this company. I'm sad to hear that what was once a very decent, easy to deal with company has reduced themselves to the current state of affairs. Several times I asked them to be honest with me and tell me if their business was having troubles or not, but J Wilson assured me that they were still in business and my order would be processed . . .
